FIP and FISU inspect Málaga preparations for university padel championship

Representatives of FIP and FISU visited Málaga ahead of the first World University Championship in padel. The event was scheduled for 6–11 July and organised by the University of Málaga in collaboration with the International Padel Federation, bringing university athletes to the Spanish city.

The delegation met the local organising committee to review operational plans and readiness at key venues. Discussion covered competition facilities, accommodation, athlete services and logistics, as well as the overall programme that would support participants during the inaugural university championship.

Organisers presented updates on the schedule, competition format and complementary cultural activities. The two federations described the event as an opportunity to connect university athletes internationally through padel, combining competition with cultural exchange and collaboration as the sport’s global participation continued to grow.
