The International Padel Federation marked International Women’s Day by setting out its gender equality policies. Its statement estimated that nearly half of the sport’s thirty-five million players were women, linking that participation base with equal opportunities, visibility and financial treatment for athletes.
FIP identified equal prize money across major competitions, including world team and pairs championships, Premier Padel Majors and Finals, the CUPRA FIP Tour, FIP Beyond and the Hexagon Cup. The federation described those measures as part of its international competition model.
The statement also highlighted concurrent men’s and women’s tournaments with shared finals days and one ticket admitting spectators to both finals. Equal television and digital exposure through official channels was presented as another policy pillar, alongside alignment with International Olympic Committee standards and sports governance principles.
