FISU’s Executive Committee met online on 28 April to consider future positioning, visual identity and event safety. President Leonz Eder and secretary general Matthias Remund led discussions from the federation’s Lausanne headquarters.

The planned strategic phase was to begin in January 2027 after the General Assembly. FISU aimed to strengthen engagement with student-athletes, national federations, sponsors and the wider public through its evolving identity.

The committee also reviewed participant safety, competition integrity and the educational mission. FISU said a dedicated specialist would support a flexible approach to event conditions, with further committee discussions scheduled in Ulaanbaatar on 26–27 June.
