FISU vice-president Peninnah Kabenge Aligawesa presented the Healthy Campus programme to Ethiopian university leaders during the national University Sports Festival at Jimma University. Representatives from the forty-seven participating institutions joined the session alongside sports and student-affairs officials.

The presentation outlined a framework covering seven areas of health and wellbeing and one hundred criteria for institutional implementation. A digital platform supports monitoring and certification, with five levels allowing universities to progress from entry status to platinum.

Kabenge, also secretary-general of the Federation of Africa University Sports, emphasised the value of measurable standards that institutions could adapt to local conditions. The session connected campus leadership with FISU’s wider work in university sport, education and student development.
