FISU reviews Changchun Winter Universiade preparations
The delegation visited Jilin venues and held meetings less than a year before the 2027 event.

FISU reviewed preparations for the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade during a late-January visit to Jilin Province, reported on 4 February. Executive Committee members and senior management combined formal meetings with venue visits and discussions with provincial and city leaders.
The Games were scheduled for 15 to 25 January 2027, following the host selection in November 2025. Local officials outlined work on venue renovation and organisational planning and requested continued federation guidance on event delivery.
The visit also addressed the World Conference on University Sports, planned as a feature of the Universiade programme. FISU’s account described the delegation’s engagement with local snow-and-ice traditions and the organising committee’s progress as preparations entered the year before the competition.
