FISU signs Shanghai university cooperation agreement
The delegation’s visit combined academic partnerships with discussions involving sporting businesses.

A FISU delegation led by Leonz Eder and Matthias Remund visited Shanghai from 2 to 4 February and signed a cooperation memorandum with Shanghai University of Sport. University president Mao Lijuan welcomed the federation’s leadership for discussions on international exchanges and joint activity.
The organisations identified the Healthy Campus programme, academic cooperation and competitive university sport as areas for further work. Eder also received an honorary professorship during the visit, which included opportunities to try sporting activities at the university.
The delegation met representatives of the Yao Foundation, Orange Lion Sport and Power Dekor Flooring to discuss prospective cooperation. FISU described the visit as strengthening links with Asian higher-education institutions and businesses connected with its future international university-sport strategy.
