FIVB and school sport leaders discuss youth volleyball collaboration
Fabio Azevedo and Željko Tanasković met in Lausanne to examine school programmes and grassroots access.

The International Volleyball Federation hosted the International School Sport Federation at Volleyball House in Lausanne for talks about youth volleyball. FIVB President Fabio Azevedo led the home delegation, while ISF President Željko Tanasković represented the school sport organisation.
FIVB presented its Strategic Vision 2032, including the roles of grassroots participation and development support. The discussion considered how schools could give more young people access to volleyball through programmes that connect sporting activity with education.
Tanasković brought experience as a former Serbian international player whose honours include Olympic bronze and World Championship silver. Both organisations identified schools as important places for introducing children to volleyball and explored potential cooperation on participation and development.
