The FIVB announced the opening of its second 2026 Volleyball Empowerment application window on 13 April. National federations could request support through coaching, equipment and knowledge-transfer programmes.

The federation reported 156 applications from 61 national federations in the first window: 65 for coaching support, 41 for equipment and 50 for knowledge transfer. These were applications awaiting review, rather than 156 approved projects.

The April announcement put cumulative investment at USD 58 million across more than 1,747 approved projects supporting 207 national federations. Those cumulative figures cover the programme’s history and are not spending totals for 2026 alone. This archive records the application opportunity at the time; it does not present the expired window as currently open.
