FIVB leagues and clubs council reviews competition calendar alignment
Preparations for the 2026 Club World Championships and the 2029–32 international calendar featured in the meeting.

The FIVB Volleyball Leagues and Clubs Council examined coordination between professional competitions and international volleyball. President Fabio Azevedo opened the meeting, emphasising cooperation between the federation, domestic leagues and clubs as members reviewed the professional game's priorities.
The agenda included preparations for 2026 events, particularly the Club World Championships. Members considered how those tournaments fit with domestic seasons and national team commitments, and also discussed plans for the international calendar covering 2029 through 2032.
Volleyball World presented commercial developments intended to increase the profile of professional competitions. The council additionally considered proposals from FIVB commissions addressing operational and regulatory matters faced by leagues and clubs. Together, the updates connected immediate event preparations with longer term planning for the sport's professional structure.
