The FIVB Heritage and Legacy Commission reviewed its 2025 programmes while preparing the next World Volleyball Day. The inaugural celebration on 7 July reached more than 280 million people on social media and produced over two million interactions, according to the federation's March report.

Members examined activities that brought former players into current tournaments, including opportunities for fans to play with legends and medal presentations involving athletes. They also received updates on cooperation with the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.

The agenda extended beyond competition to the Beyond the Court career transition seminar held in Lausanne and a Philippine community court mural featuring seven leading players. Commission president Joop Alberda framed those projects as foundations for the organisation's continuing legacy work in 2026.
