FIVB's Medical Commission reviewed its athlete health and anti-doping priorities during a meeting of medical specialists and federation leaders. Commission President Dr Annie Peytavin emphasised support for athletes' physical and mental wellbeing as the central purpose of the group's work.

Members examined figures from the federation's 2025 anti-doping programme and analyses conducted during that year's competitions. They also considered how medical projects would contribute to Strategic Vision 2032, the wider plan for making volleyball more accessible and expanding participation.

Working groups presented updates on athletes' mental health and preparations for a future FIVB Medical Congress. The proposed congress was discussed as a way to improve knowledge exchange and cooperation among volleyball's medical community, alongside the commission's continuing monitoring and support programmes.
