FIVB seminar outlines federation assessment rollout and training access
Zonal presidents examined a global self-assessment tool and Centres of Excellence applications.
Source publication date:
FIVB's 2026 Zonal Association Presidents' Seminar reviewed the rollout of a national federation assessment framework. A one-hundred-question self-assessment tool tested with thirteen federations in 2025 was set for deployment across all national members during the programme's second phase.
Participants also received updates on rankings proposals, the zonal calendar and Olympic qualification for Los Angeles. For Dakar's Youth Olympic Games, the presentation confirmed Saly Beach as the venue, with four competition courts and two warm-up courts.
The federation announced that Empowerment applications for national team training camps at recognised Centres of Excellence would open on 1 April. Applications were planned throughout the year with monthly reviews, providing a continuing route to supported coaching and high-quality training environments.
