Flensburg, Nexe, Montpellier and Fredericia take European League first-leg leads
Four clubs moved ahead in the men's playoff ties before the return matches.

Flensburg-Handewitt won 38–32 away to SAH Aarhus as four teams established leads in the EHF European League men's playoffs. Nexe defeated Kristianstad 36–34 in Sweden, while Montpellier and Fredericia used home advantage to secure larger margins.
Flensburg were level with Aarhus at 25–25 with thirteen minutes remaining before pulling clear. Johannes Golla scored nine goals and Marko Grgić eight, helping the defending champions finish with a six-goal advantage for the return leg.
Nexe recovered from a three-goal halftime deficit to win their opening encounter. Montpellier beat Elverum 36–24, and Fredericia led throughout a 35–29 victory over Melsungen. The winners of the two-match aggregate ties will advance to the competition's quarter-finals.
