France won the men’s C1 and C2 classic team competitions on 21 May at the Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in Banja Luka. These were team-distance titles, separate from the later sprint events.
Theo Viens, Nicolas Sauteur and Charles Ferrion completed the men’s C1 team race in 17:23.44, finishing 1.80 seconds ahead of Germany. Czechia took bronze.
Slovenia won the men’s K1 team event in 15:56.70, while Italy’s Cecilia Panato, Maya Bagnato and Serena Mathilde Rosa won women’s K1 team gold in 16:50.93. That victory gave Panato her fourth gold of the championships at that stage, rather than a final tournament tally.
