France leads biathlon Forest of Champions tree ranking
Twenty-four nations had contributed to the IBU and Viessmann reforestation project after two trimesters.

France led the IBU’s Forest of Champions ranking with 229 trees earned after the second trimester of the 2025–26 season. Norway followed with 116 and Germany with 112, while twenty-four nations had contributed through their competitive performances.
The IBU and climate partner Viessmann link ceremony places to reforestation near Untersberg in the Marktschellenberg region. One seedling is assigned for each athlete or team attending ceremonies across the World Cup, IBU Cup, Junior Cup and Para Biathlon World Cup.
The programme held its official launch at the Ruhpolding World Cup, where the top six athletes in both sprints received symbolic wooden trees. Sweden, Ukraine and Italy completed the latest ranking’s leading six nations with ninety-seven, seventy-nine and sixty-seven trees respectively.
