Frostad wins Olympic big air with record final score
The Norwegian’s 98.50-point last jump secured gold ahead of Forehand and Svancer.

Tormod Frostad won Olympic men’s freeski big air in Livigno with 195.50 points, beating Mac Forehand on 193.25 and Matěj Švancer on 191.25. All three medallists landed every attempt and earned their first senior Olympic medals.
Forehand briefly led after scoring 98.25 for a nosebutter triple cork 2160 on the penultimate jump of the competition. Frostad responded with a right nosebutter double bio 1620 that received 98.50, the highest single-run score in Olympic freeski history.
Švancer’s last jump scored 96 points before the two leading athletes raised the final totals again. Frostad entered the Games with two previous World Cup big air podiums, converting his successful three-run final into the largest title of his career.
