Gateshead completed the permanent signing of Josh Anifowose from Eastbourne Borough for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old winger agreed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season and was made eligible for the next National League fixture at Truro City.

Anifowose had made 35 appearances for Eastbourne during the season, scoring twice and providing five assists. His previous National League South experience also included spells with Dover Athletic, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Aveley.

Manager Rob Elliot said the new arrival would add quality and an attacking threat, describing him as hardworking and keen to learn. Anifowose was assigned the number 22 shirt as Gateshead welcomed him into the squad on Tyneside.
