Source publication date:
Coco Gauff defeated Karolina Muchova 6–1, 6–1 to reach the Miami Open final for the first time. The Florida player recovered from an opening service break by winning twelve of the final thirteen games in an eighty-minute semifinal.
Gauff broke Muchova six times and extended her unbeaten record against the Czech to six meetings. She finished with seventeen winners and twelve unforced errors, while Muchova struggled especially on the forehand and held serve only once across the entire match.
The victory secured Gauff’s sixth WTA 1000 final and made her the youngest American Miami finalist since Serena Williams in 2003. It also brought a championship appearance in her home region after a tournament run that had already included several demanding three-set matches.
