Gloucester defeat Poole to claim second place
A 2–1 away win settled a key promotion contest.

Gloucester City beat Poole Town 2–1 at the Tatnam Stadium to claim second place in the league table. Rylie Siddle opened the scoring in the sixteenth minute after the visitors recovered the ball in Poole’s half and he lobbed goalkeeper Adam Parkes.
Poole equalised in the 56th minute through Shaquille Gwengwe, who finished Salim Saied’s low cross. The goal took Gwengwe’s league tally to 34, but Gloucester regained the lead almost immediately after the restart.
The Dolphins introduced Ik Hill, Henry Spalding and Kris Campbell during the final twenty minutes in pursuit of another equaliser. Gloucester held out through the remaining pressure and left with all three points.
