Gómez and Escacena complete three-title March with Viseu victory

Mónica Gómez and Claudia Escacena won the FIP Bronze in Viseu to complete a month containing three titles. After victories in Helsingborg and Houten, they defeated Vittoria Kurz and Nati Lopez Diaz 6–4, 6–3 in the Portuguese women’s final.

Gómez and Escacena had beaten Susanna Martin and Mar Munera 6–4, 7–5 in the semifinals. Both players described their team’s continuing development after the championship, with Gómez emphasising motivation to keep learning and improving through their circuit performances.

José Solano Marmolejo and Ramiro Pereyra won the men’s title by overcoming Pedro Araujo and Pedro Graça 6–4, 6–1. The previous week’s Parma finalists had beaten Adri Naranjo and Pablo Sanchez 6–1, 6–1 in the semifinals before collecting the Viseu trophy.
