Green and Watling win England indoor combined-event titles
The final day also brought a masters four-hundred-metre world record performance.

Caleb Green won the under-seventeen men’s heptathlon at England’s Indoor Combined Event Championships after a decisive final thousand metres. His 2:47.33 run overturned the advantage Alexander Giles had gained in the pole vault, with Charlie Reilly completing the leading trio.
Victor Watling took the under-fifteen boys’ pentathlon with 2,802 points, finishing ahead of Bradley Stone and Bailey Smith. His personal-best high jump of 1.71 metres moved him into the lead before he won the closing eight hundred metres in 2:16.21.
Summer Biggs won the under-fifteen girls’ competition with 2,965 points after starting the final race level with Shindara Ayo-Adeyemo. In the invitation masters race, John Wright recorded 55.44 in the over-sixty-five four hundred metres.
