Grosseto selected for Italian under-18 championships
The June meeting will precede the home European under-18 championships in Rieti.
Source publication date:
FIDAL selected Grosseto’s Stadio Zecchini to host the Italian Under-18 Championships on 27 and 28 June 2026. The venue would stage the youth championship for a fourth time, returning to the national calendar seventeen years after its previous edition in 2009.
The competition was scheduled three weeks before the European Under-18 Championships in Rieti. The federation identified the domestic meeting as an important step in determining the team for the continental championship, which was due to run from 16 to 19 July.
The same February announcement also allocated the national youth combined-events championships to Bressanone. That meeting would cover under-23, junior and under-18 categories across the dates of 5 to 7 June.
