Guerrero and Leal recover to win Marseille Platinum
Sainz and Eugenio won the women’s event after Alonso retired with an ankle injury.

Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal won the first FIP Platinum tournament of 2026 in Marseille, recovering from an opening-set loss in the final. The top seeds beat Javi Garrido and Lucas Bergamini 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 after two and a half hours of competition.
The result gave Guerrero his first trophy of the year and marked the partnership’s first international title together. It also extended Guerrero’s successful sequence in France after earlier victories in Lyon and Bourg-en-Bresse during his circuit career.
Lucia Sainz and Raquel Eugenio took the women’s trophy after Ale Alonso injured her ankle and retired five games into the final. The retirement ended the challenge from Alonso and Ale Salazar.
