Szymon Gumularz and Oliwia Kiolbasa won their first Polish national chess championships in Warsaw. The open and women’s competitions ran from 22 to 30 March, each using a ten-player round-robin format with classical time controls.

Gumularz opened with five consecutive victories and then drew his remaining four games, finishing on seven points from nine. He secured the championship with a round to spare. Jakub Kosakowski took silver on 5.5 points, while Łukasz Licznerski won the bronze tiebreak.

Kiolbasa finished with five straight wins and scored 6.5 points. Her final-round victory over Maria Siekańska overtook Alicja Śliwicka, who lost to Klaudia Kulon. Alina Kashlinskaya and Śliwicka received the women’s silver and bronze medals.
