Gunter names his first Wales U19 squad for U.S. friendly
Twenty-two players were selected for the March match at Oliva Nova in Spain.
Source publication date:
Chris Gunter selected twenty-two players for a Wales men's under-nineteen friendly against the United States in Spain. The match at Oliva Nova Resort would be his first in charge of the age group after his appointment as head coach in January.
The fixture was scheduled for March 28 at 11:00 CET and formed part of Wales' preparations for hosting the European Under-19 Championship finals in north Wales. The March window offered the new coach a chance to work with his group before the summer tournament.
The squad included players based at clubs across Britain and farther afield, including Sydney FC's Joe Lacey and Arsenal's Brayden Clarke. Cardiff City contributed Jake Davies, Mannie Barton and Jac Thomas, while Swansea representatives included Harlan Perry and Iestyn Jones.
