Ida Marie Hagen and Jens Luraas Oftebro won the first mixed team sprint staged at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Lahti. Norway’s leading pair started seventh after jumping, thirty-two seconds behind Finland’s Minja Korhonen and Ilkka Herola, but reversed the order during cross-country racing.
Hagen accelerated in the third exchange to open a decisive gap. The Norwegian partnership finished in 25:23.6, beating Finland by 18.8 seconds, while Germany’s Johannes Rydzek and Nathalie Armbruster claimed third after a demanding battle for the remaining podium place.
Oftebro earned his second win of the weekend after individual victory on Friday. Hagen added the team success to a season in which she had already secured the individual Crystal Globe, while Korhonen celebrated another podium before the Finnish home crowd.
