Source publication date:
Victor Haghighat won the men’s super-G at the Alpine Junior World Championships in Narvik in 40.36 seconds. Switzerland’s Sandro Manser finished only three hundredths behind, and Canada’s Jake Kerlesz-Knight took bronze at 0.21, giving the French debutant an individual gold before the combined event.
Haghighat then partnered Nash Huot-Marchand for team combined victory. Huot-Marchand’s 36.90-second slalom run brought their total to 1:17.26, finishing 0.17 ahead of Americans Aksel Lindenmeyr and Jevin Palmquist. Norway’s first team took bronze another four hundredths behind.
The two titles extended France’s perfect opening to four golds from four events. Manser collected a second successive junior super-G silver, while Spain’s strong slalom performance lifted its team to a tie for fourth in the combined classification.
