Hodonin wins golden match to reach Europe Cup semifinals
The Czech club recovered after Novi Sad levelled their quarterfinal tie with a home victory.

Hodonin qualified for the women’s Europe Cup semifinals after winning a golden match against Novi Sad. The Serbian club took the return leg 3–2, matching Hodonin’s opening home victory and forcing an additional contest to determine which team would advance.
Aneta Maksuti and Valeria Shcherbatykh gave Novi Sad a 2–0 return-match lead. Zhang Binyue and Karin Grofova restored parity before Shcherbatykh defeated Marketa Sevcikova to complete the hosts’ victory and extend the tie.
Hodonin won both games in the golden match. Zhang defeated Shcherbatykh 11–6 and Grofova beat Maksuti 11–5, securing qualification after ten individual matches across the two legs and the final deciding sequence.
