Hoefflin wins Silvaplana slopestyle as Muir and Ruud take globes

The Swiss skier’s first victory in six years led the final women’s event.

Sarah Hoefflin won the final women’s freeski slopestyle World Cup in Silvaplana with an opening score of 80.07. Her first World Cup victory in six years came on home snow, ahead of Kirsty Muir and Swiss teammate Giulia Tanno after changing course speed complicated second runs.

Muir’s runner-up finish secured her first slopestyle Crystal Globe with 280 points, eighty ahead of her nearest rival. The British skier completed a campaign featuring three slopestyle podiums, including victory in the previous competition in Tignes, before the Swiss finale.

Birk Ruud won the men’s event with 83.52 points ahead of Henry Sildaru and Mac Forehand. The Norwegian also finished the slopestyle standings on 280 points to claim another discipline globe.
