Holzman’s added-time winner gives Farnborough victory
Chippenham’s second-half response ended in a 2–1 defeat.
Source publication date:
Farnborough defeated Chippenham Town 2–1 after substitute Louie Holzman scored in the final moments of added time. His finish from Hakeem Sandah's cross denied Chippenham a point after the visitors had recovered from conceding the opening goal.
The first half finished goalless, with limited clear opportunities at either end. Wesley Fonguck put Farnborough ahead in the 58th minute after finding space inside the penalty area and finishing past Will Henry.
Chippenham responded with attacking changes, and captain Luke Haines equalised following Caine Bradbury's wide free kick. Harry Parsons and Sol Wanjau-Smith continued to threaten, but the visitors could not turn their pressure into a winner before Holzman's late intervention secured the home side's victory.
