Reece Howden and Sandra Naeslund won the Montafon ski cross World Cups after leading every heat through the day. Howden beat Simone Deromedis by 0.12 seconds in the men’s final, with Alex Fiva third at 0.49 and Nicolas Raffort completing the field at the Austrian venue.

Howden moved to 843 season points, extending his advantage over Deromedis to 247 before racing in Canada. Fiva earned his fortieth World Cup podium and became the oldest man to reach a top-three finish, aged forty years, one month and fourteen days at the time.

Naeslund defeated Daniela Maier by six-hundredths for her forty-seventh victory, ahead of Jole Galli and Hannah Schmidt. Maier marked her hundredth World Cup start with another podium but remained 165 points behind in the standings.
