Hungary’s men’s under-16 team defeated Sweden 3-1 in the second friendly between the sides at Telki. László Szalai’s squad followed its earlier 1-0 victory with another win, giving three players their debuts despite injuries and illnesses affecting the available group.
Timót Farkas opened the scoring before halftime, but Oliver Nilsson Galic equalised after the break. Farkas restored Hungary’s lead with a header from Milán Mester’s free kick, and Botond Szegedi added a long-range strike to complete the result.
The Hungarian players posed before the game with Dávid Orji’s number nineteen shirt after he suffered a shoulder injury in the first match. Szalai praised the group’s discipline and commitment against Sweden’s physical qualities, describing both fixtures as valuable preparation and experience.
