Hungary’s men’s under-17 team recovered from a goal behind to defeat Moldova 3-1 in Újpest. The result completed a second friendly victory over the visitors as Gergő Jeremiás’s squad prepared for competitive matches in Armenia during the April international programme.
Moldova took the lead in the twentieth minute after a stronger opening spell. Hungary equalised four minutes later through Ákos Berekméri-Szigeti, then went ahead through Andrej Vasiljevic. Vasiljevic added his second in the 72nd minute to establish the final margin.
Jeremiás said Hungary initially struggled with Moldova’s aggressive approach but controlled the game after adjusting. The coach welcomed the result and most of the performance, describing the two friendly fixtures as valuable preparation for the upcoming European qualifying assignments.
