Source publication date:
Hungary defeated Moldova 3-0 in an under-17 friendly at Újpest’s Szilágyi Road training ground. The match formed part of Hungary’s preparation for April’s League B European qualifying programme, with coach Gergő Jeremiás looking to assess his selection before the competitive fixtures.
Vincent Görög opened the scoring in the thirtieth minute after Hungary established sustained territorial control. The hosts maintained that advantage after halftime and added two goals from set pieces, with Görög scoring again and Noel Polonkai completing the result.
The teams were scheduled to meet once more on Saturday morning. Jeremiás said the second friendly would also influence his qualifying squad decisions, while welcoming a performance in which Hungary’s dominance had produced goals against opposition with a relevant playing style.
