Kevin Mondovics scored twice in a 4-2 win.

Source publication date:
Hungary defeated Slovakia 4-2 in Cosenza to finish third in its under-19 European qualifying elite-round group. The result ended an Italian tournament in which Hungary had already lost its chance of reaching the finals after defeats to Italy and Türkiye.
Karol Blasko gave Slovakia an early lead, but Kevin Mondovics equalised before halftime. Simón Bodnar then put Hungary ahead, Mondovics added his second and Márton Szép scored the fourth, giving the team a commanding advantage before Slovakia’s late reply.
Goalkeeper Mirkó Bozó suffered a shoulder injury after Hungary exhausted its substitutions. Midfielder Ádám Madarász finished in goal and made a save without conceding. Italy won the group ahead of Türkiye on goal difference, with both teams collecting seven points.
