Indonesia survives Thailand to join men’s last four
China, Japan and Korea also progressed through the Asian team quarterfinals.

Indonesia defeated Thailand 3-2 to complete the men’s semifinal lineup at the Badminton Asia Team Championships. The close quarterfinal in Qingdao was settled by Richie Duta Richardo, who beat Tanawat Yimjit 21-6, 21-17 in the final singles match of the tie.
Indonesia had led 2-1 after wins in the first and second singles, but Thailand’s second doubles victory forced a deciding match. Defending champion China advanced with a 3-1 win over Chinese Taipei, securing its place through the second doubles contest.
Japan beat Malaysia 3-0, while Korea defeated India 3-1. The results brought China, Korea, Japan and Indonesia into the semifinals, with the leading regional team competition approaching its championship stage.
