Source publication date:
Boreham Wood signed Leon Ayinde on loan from Ipswich Town until the end of the season. The 21-year-old Irish winger joined to provide additional attacking options for the run-in after previous senior experience in the National League.
Ayinde began playing with St Mary's in Cork before entering Cork City's academy at under-14 level. He made a senior debut at seventeen and moved to Ipswich in January 2023, subsequently featuring for the club's development teams.
He represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17 and under-21 level. A season-long loan at Rochdale in 2024/25 brought 28 appearances, giving him familiarity with National League football before his temporary move to Meadow Park and the Boreham Wood squad.
