Ireland earns two team bronzes at Anglo Celtic Plate
Patricia McLoughlin’s national title also brought an Irish over-fifty record.

Ireland finished third in both team competitions at the thirty-first Anglo Celtic Plate in Limerick. The University of Limerick hosted the international hundred-kilometre event, with England winning both team titles and Northern Ireland and Scotland taking the respective men’s and women’s silvers.
Patricia McLoughlin won the Irish women’s championship in 8:14:57, setting a national over-fifty record. Sinead Egan followed in 8:56:17, while Lou McLoughlin, competing for Northern Ireland internationally, placed third in the domestic championship standings.
Jarlaith McKenna led the Irish men’s championship results in 6:37:48 while representing Northern Ireland at the Plate. Rob Kelly ran 7:08:53 and Matthew Collins 7:15:06, both personal bests that supported Ireland’s international bronze.
