Adverse weather prompted a one-kilometre loop for the 15 February national programme.
Source publication date:
Athletics Ireland revised race distances for the National Intermediate, Masters and Juvenile B Cross Country Championships after adverse weather. Every race at the Sport Ireland National Cross Country Course was to use a one-kilometre loop on 15 February.
The published programme began with the under-11 girls’ 1000m at 11:30am. Intermediate women were assigned 4000m and intermediate men 6000m, with those two races scheduled for 2:40pm and 3:15pm respectively.
The revised format also set 3000m for the masters women and men aged 65 or older, and 6000m for younger masters men. Organisers warned of limited parking and a busy campus, directing visitors to follow steward instructions and approach from the Finglas direction.
