Ireland’s coaches prepare for Athlone network day
Tom Reynolds will lead the keynote alongside practical event sessions.

Athletics Ireland announced its first Coach Network Day of the year for 18 April at TUS Athlone. The programme is scheduled from 09:30 to 16:00, bringing club coaches together for presentations, practical work and discussions on athlete development.
Tom Reynolds is the keynote speaker. He forms part of Kate O’Connor’s coaching team and contributed to her preparation through the Paris Olympics and her subsequent major championship medals. He also coached his brother Ben Reynolds to world and European championships.
Practical sessions are planned for hurdles, javelin and high jump, with further events expected to be added. The federation described peer interaction and event-group discussion as central elements and directed coaches to its online registration and development-team contact.
