Israel defeated England 3-1 in the second match of the Young Lions’ UEFA Under-17 European Championship qualifying group. Erez Didi put the visitors ahead after a counterattack, before Ryan Kavuma-McQueen equalised three minutes into the second half.
Ido Yossef restored Israel’s lead against the run of play. Idan Dadia then punished a mistake in England’s penalty area to make it 3-1, leaving goalkeeper Emanuel Luka to protect the advantage as Kavuma-McQueen continued to threaten.
Liam Bramley’s team finished the afternoon with one victory and one defeat in League B. England were already unable to reach the summer finals because of their first-round results, and had Estonia next in their March programme.
