Tommaso Costa and Lisa Francesia Boirai won Italy’s first mixed team title at the Snowboard Cross Junior World Championships in St Moritz. The victory gave Francesia Boirai a second gold after the individual event, while Costa added to his individual bronze.

Switzerland’s Kenny Schlaeppi and Noemie Wiedmer took silver, repeating their individual medal colour. Wiedmer improved on fourth place in the previous year’s team competition and collected her third junior world silver medal across the current championship programme.

Etienne Luedi and Nuria Gubser secured bronze for Switzerland’s second team after progressing from the pre-heats. The American partnership finished fourth. Mixed team racing concluded the championships, whose individual events had been brought forward to avoid weekend snowstorms.
