The ITTF launched the 2026 edition of My Gender. My Strength to develop female table tennis coaches. Member associations were invited to nominate one coach. Eligible applicants needed a recognised coaching qualification, at least two years’ relevant experience and a communicative level of English.

The programme spans two years, with theoretical learning and practical development planned for 2026. Participants were to learn from international experts before selected coaches worked within high-level activities such as Hopes or youth training camps, alongside experienced head coaches.

The final leadership stage was scheduled for the first half of 2027. Each participant would organise a women and girls’ training camp lasting at least three days, including education for other female coaches. Support covered mentoring, travel, accommodation and assistance with organising those camps.
