Jacobs reunites with coach Paolo Camossi
FIDAL confirmed a renewed partnership after two seasons apart.
Source publication date:
FIDAL president Stefano Mei announced that Marcell Jacobs would resume training with Paolo Camossi. The decision reunited the athlete and coach after two seasons apart, restoring a partnership associated with Italy’s Olympic sprint success in Tokyo.
Jacobs won the 100 metres and 4x100 relay at those Games. Mei described discussions with the athlete during the preceding weeks as part of planning a renewed training pathway.
The federation placed the reunion in the context of the 2026 European Championships in Birmingham and the longer route toward Los Angeles 2028. The confirmed news was the coaching arrangement; future race performances remained to be established through competition.
