Source publication date:
Odense coach Jakob Vestergaard featured in EHF's Handball Mastermind series, discussing the principles behind his coaching career. The Dane emphasised intelligent, attractive play and collective effort, alongside regular communication with players across the entire squad rather than only the starting lineup.
Vestergaard won consecutive Champions League titles with Viborg in 2009 and 2010, later reached the semifinals with Oltchim and guided Bietigheim to the 2024 final. He took charge of Odense in summer 2025 after Ole Gustav Gjekstad's departure.
