Jaukovic receives a one-match EHF club suspension
The Court of Handball ruled on an incident during CSM Bucuresti’s match against Brest.
Source publication date:
The EHF Court of Handball suspended CSM Bucuresti player Djurdjina Jaukovic for one match in its club competitions. The decision concerned an incident in the women’s Champions League meeting with Brest Bretagne Handball played on 8 February.
Jaukovic was directly disqualified at forty-three minutes and forty-one seconds of that match. After reviewing the incident, the court classified the action as reckless and extremely dangerous, and applied the suspension for the resulting unsportsmanlike conduct.
The ruling made her ineligible for CSM’s next Champions League fixture, against FTC on 14 February. An appeal could be filed within seven days, but would not suspend the effect of the decision. The federation’s notice described the sanction and appeal procedure without reporting a subsequent appeal outcome.
