The Jersey Table Tennis Association launched a fundraising campaign to rebuild the Geoff Reed Table Tennis Centre. Storm Ciarán destroyed the island’s dedicated venue in November 2023, leaving clubs without a home facility for training and community activities around the sport.
The association set a £120,000 target and reported that more than £100,000 had already been raised. Construction plans were underway, with the organisation hoping to reopen the replacement facility by September 2026. The reopening remained an aspiration in the March report.
Clubs continued to train and compete despite the loss of their centre, with players, coaches and volunteers supporting the rebuilding effort. The association invited contributions through its donation campaign, aiming to restore both playing opportunities and a meeting place for Jersey’s table tennis community.
