Kalkenberg sets junior medal records in Arber mass start
Merkushyna, Dzhorgov and Ganner won the other individual finals on the championship programme.

Kasper Kalkenberg defended the junior men’s mass start sixty title in Arber, earning a record eighth Youth and Junior World Championships gold. His fourteen total medals also established a championship record, with Jakob Kulbin taking silver and Philip Lindkvist-Floetten bronze in the final individual programme.
Oleksandra Merkushyna won the junior women’s race through the fastest shooting time despite three misses. Estere Volfa and Elza Bleidele completed the podium for Latvia. Volfa received both the mass start discipline and Junior Cup overall trophies, as Thomas Marchl did in the men’s standings.
Georgi Dzhorgov recovered from an early fall to win the youth men’s race. Selina Ganner won youth women’s gold after a five-athlete contest for the podium on the closing lap.
