Karlsson leads Swedish sweep in Holmenkollen fifty kilometres
A decisive break around thirty-five kilometres delivered victory by one minute forty-eight.

Frida Karlsson won the women’s fifty-kilometre freestyle mass start at Holmenkollen by one minute and forty-eight seconds. The Swede left the leading group around thirty-five kilometres and steadily expanded her advantage through the mist to earn her third World Cup victory of the season.
Linn Svahn finished second, with Jonna Sundling just four tenths behind in third, completing Sweden’s first distance podium sweep. Heidi Weng placed fourth for Norway, 1.2 seconds behind Sundling, and Karoline Groetting completed the leading five at the Oslo venue.
The women began forty-five minutes after the men on the same course, creating periods with both fields on the tracks together. Jessie Diggins finished sixth in her final Holmenkollen race, while Olympic fifty-kilometre champion Ebba Andersson placed twenty-seventh after a fall.
