Kartuzovs and Rusinova win Latvia’s national titles in Riga

Oļegs Kartuzovs and Diāna Rusinova claimed the singles titles at Latvia’s national championships in Riga. Kartuzovs finished ahead of Artūrs Reinholds in the men’s final. Daniels Kogans and Arturs Rudņikovs shared third place, completing the four-player men’s medal podium.

Rusinova beat Natālija Kļimanova for women’s singles gold, with Sabina Musajeva and Poļina Staševska taking bronze. The results report also recorded an extensive doubles programme, in which Kogans and Musajeva each added more than one championship to their singles medals.

Kogans partnered Andrejs Čemirtāns to win men’s doubles and teamed with Musajeva for mixed doubles gold. Musajeva also won women’s doubles alongside Margarita Smirnova. The championship results therefore spread the five event titles across both singles winners and successful doubles partnerships.
